Who We Are
Inspired by 2 Corinthians 5:17 Stating Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; The Old has gone, the new is here! We at New Creation House are here to provide a faith-based, holistic environment where women transition from incarceration, addiction, or jail find hope, healing and renewal. We are committed to empowering women through spiritual growth, emotion support, life skills, and community engagement, helping them rebuild their lives, restore relationships, and walk in their God given purpose
Amanda's Story
My story is one of hope, faith, redemption, and determination. I battled addiction for over 30 years and served a total of 11 years in both state and federal prisons. During my darkest moments, I believe that if I would have had the support, community, and resources i needed, it could have helped transform my life sooner and possibly guided me toward a different pay eary on.
In 2020, I started attending Restoration Church and Celebrate Recovery here in Granite City, and they played a crucial role in my life. Their support, unconditional love that met me right where i was, and accountability helped me change my life. They helped me relocate and that move was a turning point that set me on a new path. Today I am happily married, a business owner, and a proud, contribuiting member of this community. I hve also restored many broekn relationships with my children and family.
My journey required fighting through many barriers, and I believe that same determination will be essential for the women who walk through the doors of the New Creation House. As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialists, I am equipped to walk alongside others in their recovery, connection gthem to local resources from Mental health and housing to emplyment and support that can help them on their own path.
It is my heartfel desire to give back to our community here in Granite City to help women become productive, empowered members of our society. I want to share the hope, support, and resilience that changed my life. With the New creation House being here in Granite City, I want these women to know that recovyer is possible if they are willing to fight for it, and that they are not alone in their journey.
